Context

Design and command challenging dungeons for up to three friends to conquer.

Developed with a team of fifteen as a capstone project for the University of Utah's Entertainment Arts and Engineering program.

Highlights

  • Architected a C++ framework to support a variety of selectable traps with unique placement conditions and mechanics implemented in derived Blueprints
  • Configured replication for trap mechanics and player abilities between networked clients
  • Streamlined trap iteration by updating the user interface to auto-populate from a Blueprint configuration

Dungeon Crafting

  • Dungeon master selects from a variety of traps and autonomous drones to create their own unique dungeon
  • Time and resource restrictions balance dungeon difficulty

Multiplayer Co-op

  • Up to 3 players select from a variety of weapons and abilities to fight through the dungeon master's creation
  • Dungeon master can trigger traps and control drones to impede player progress
